Past Perfect Continuous Tense

Penggunaan Past Perfect Continuous Tense: Past Perfect Continuous Tense digunakan untuk menyatakan:

1. Tindakan yang telah berlangsung selama suatu periode sebelum tindakan lain terjadi di masa lalu.
   • Example: She had been studying for two hours when her friend arrived.
2. Tindakan yang terjadi sebelum waktu tertentu di masa lalu dan berlanjut sampai saat itu.
   • Example: They had been living in that house for five years before they moved.
3. Untuk menunjukkan bahwa suatu aktivitas berlangsung sebelum titik waktu di masa lalu.
   • Example: I had been waiting for the bus for thirty minutes when it finally arrived.

Rumus:

• Positif (Verbal): Subject + had been + Verb-ing + Object
  • Example: He had been working at the company for ten years.
• Negatif (Verbal): Subject + had not been + Verb-ing + Object
  • Example: He had not been working at the company for ten years.
• Pertanyaan (Verbal): Had + Subject + been + Verb-ing + Object?
  • Example: Had he been working at the company for ten years?
