Simple Past Tense Verbal

Penggunaan Simple Past Tense: Simple Past Tense digunakan untuk menyatakan:

1. Tindakan yang sudah selesai dilakukan di masa lalu.
   • Example: She visited her grandmother last week.
2. Kebiasaan yang sudah tidak lagi dilakukan.
   • Example: He played football every Saturday when he was a child.
3. Peristiwa yang terjadi pada waktu tertentu di masa lalu.
   • Example: They graduated from university in 2020.

Rumus:

• Positif: Subject + Verb 2 + Object
  • Example: She watched a movie.
• Negatif: Subject + did not + Verb 1 + Object
  • Example: She did not watch a movie.
• Pertanyaan: Did + Subject + Verb 1 + Object?
  • Example: Did she watch a movie?

   • Example: She was happy after the exam.
2. Keadaan atau situasi di masa lalu.
   • Example: They were in the park yesterday.
3. Pengalaman yang telah terjadi.
   • Example: He was a doctor before he retired.

Rumus:

• Positif: Subject + was/were + Complement
  • Example: She was tired.
• Negatif: Subject + was/were + not + Complement
  • Example: She was not tired.
• Pertanyaan: Was/Were + Subject + Complement?
  • Example: Was she tired?
